I have always been moved and inspired by color. my love of dyeing fabric was born in college while taking a fibers class. Pretty soon, I needed to figure out what to do with all my newfound fabric. The light bulb went on when I found myself in a quilt store, but the trouble was, I didn’t really know how to make a quilt.
My first quilt fell apart shortly after completion, but that did not stop me. Upon moving to Montana in 2001, I joined the Flathead Quilters Guild and got a part time job at a local quilt shop and my knowledge of quilt making grew exponentially.
I have since learned proper piecing and quilting techniques and have mostly moved from using other people's’ patterns to creating my own. In 2003, I started making art quilts and entering juried quilt shows around the country.
My work has been exhibited in numerous international shows including Kentucky, USA; Texas USA; Birmingham; England, and Alsace, France,
Thank you for stopping by to look at my quilts. I hope you enjoyed them.
Quilt On,
Brian
